The Booth Honors Program at Utah Tech University serves students who want to explore, grow, and excel. The Booth Honors Program challenges students to do their best academically, creatively, and personally. We offer opportunities for students to stand out and maximize their potential by being a part of and contributing to an active learning community of students and faculty that address innovative topics in creative and unique ways.
**Honors students come to us with a variety of academic experience, goals, and scheduling needs. Recognizing this, the Honors Program is flexible and, where appropriate, can substitute particular requirements.
Program RequirementsThe Honors Program office is located in the Holland Centennial Commons, room 487. The Honors collaborative space, aka “the Booth,” is located in HCC 430.
There is no deadline to apply to the Honors Program. The program accepts application year-round.

There is no priority registration for summer semester.
Yes, all student are welcome to enroll in honors courses.
Yes, previously enrolled courses will be applied towards your honors graduation requirements.
After completing the Booth Honors Program requirements, students receive an honors designation on their transcript. Additionally, students receive an honors medallion to wear at the graduation ceremony and receive recognition in the graduation program.
Transfer students are welcome to apply to the Honors Program using the Transfer student application.
Honors students who fall below a 3.25 GPA are given a semester of probation.
Students that are making sufficient progress towards graduation requirements may take a semester off.
Honors courses are discussion based, collaborative experiences that allow students to explore topics outside of their major. Students can anticipate developing close relationships with Honors faculty and peers which provides students with a supportive network that can follow a student past graduation from UT.
As a member of the National Collegiate Honors Council, Utah Tech University’s Booth Honors Program provides exceptional students with an intensive, engaging, and rigorous curriculum and a community of students, faculty, and staff who share their interests.
The mission of the Booth Honors Program is to attract a diverse community of highly capable and motivated individuals who challenge one another in the lifelong pursuit of learning.
The Booth Honors Program delivers in-class and extracurricular academic experiences that create a distinctive learning environment. The Program provides measurable opportunities for broader, deeper, and more complex learner-directed experiences in a wide range of contexts that meet students’ unique needs to help them work toward their long-term goals. The Honors Program also supports other departments and programs by providing complementary academic and extracurricular experiences for talented students from the whole campus.
